The Face Bar with Turmeric

The facial bar is a blend of essential oils and activated charcoal that are made for trouble area skin. The turmeric is an addition for extra cleansing power, it's said to clean pores, and impurities, remove excessive oil and skin horn, and dirt, and reduce acne, soothe skin.

This soap is one of my most popular blends and works great for normal skin, as well as problem prone skin. While made for the face, it's a great bar for any skin area that is prone to body acne.

There are multiple size bars. About 3 oz bars and about 4oz bars.

About the ingredients:

INGREDIENTS: Distilled Water, Goat Milk, Vegetable Oils (Cocos Nucifera (Coconut), Elaeis Guineensis (RSPO Palm), Olea Europaea (Olive), Brassica Campestris (Canola), Carthamus Tinctorius (Safflower), Carthamus Tinctorius (Safflower), Prunus Armeniaca (Apricot Kernel), Oryza Sativa (Rice Bran), Ricinus Communis (Castor Seed), Sodium Hydroxide, Essential Oils (Lavender, Rosemary, TeaTree), Activated Charcoal, Turmeric, Tussah Silk.

Tea Tree Essential Oil- said to be antibacterial. It's commonly used for acne, insect bites, for help with oily skin, and soothing blemishes or other skin irritation.

Rosemary Essential Oil- said to be anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial, and even promote wound healing, this oil is added for all of those properties.

Lavender Essential Oil- said to have a calming effect that helps reduce itching, swelling, and redness for various issues, including eczema and psoriasis. It's a great oil for helping with dryer skin, as well as helping regulate oily skin.

Activated Charcoal- said to help your skin control how oily it is, as well as to draw out toxins, dirt, and excess oil. Less oil may help combat breakouts!

Goat Milk- said to help moisturize the skin and seal in moisture without feeling heavy or greasy. It's great for all skin types, from dry to oily!

This blend is made to be skin safe for those about age 13 and older. Essential oils are powerful and MUST be used in proper amounts for different ages. While it has worked for those as young as 12, I do NOT recommend this for children under 13.

What's in it and why-

Distilled Water- Important because tap water often has minerals that can bind to the soap differently.

Goat Milk- Has natural exfoliating and antibacterial properties to help clean dead skin and oil that can clog pores, along with being rich in fatty acids, it had help keep skin more nourished and moisturized.

I use vegetable oils instead of animal fats. The reason is because I personally feel they make a better bar of soap, and they don't have a greasy smell like some tallow or lard bars do. Basically I don't have to add extra fragrance to get the animal smell out. (Not all oils are in each blend, please check ingredient list).

Coconut Oil (Organic)- May help moisturize, relieve inflammation, and help your natural skin barrier stay in tact.

RSPO Palm Oil- Palm is a great oil for dry and sensitive skin. It is also an oil that has been divisive. This is why I use RSPO Palm- when grown sustainably, it generates more pay, better working conditions, and gets more oil per acre than many other oils.

Olive oil (Sometimes Organic)- Rich in antioxidants and has been linked to improved skin moisture and anti-aging appearance effects.

Canola Oil- Contains a lot of essential fatty acids, which moisturize the skin. It's rich in Vitamin K, which helps keep the skin supple and smooth.

Safflower Oil- Said to have anti-inflammatory properties that may reduce redness and even be helpful to conditions like acne and eczema.

Apricot Kernel Oil- Very moisturizing, a great source of vitamin A and Vitamin E. This is an amazing oil for skin!

Rice Bran Oil- Rich in vitamin B and vitamin D as well as several antioxidant compounds.

Sweet Almond Oil- Non-irritating and lightweight, moisturizing and acts as an emollient. Some people find that almond oil helps them manage chronic skin conditions such as Psoriasis, Acne, Eczema, Dermatitis.

Castor Oil- Said to be great for skin, reducing puffiness, helping redness and acne, and fighting dry skin!

Sodium Hydroxide (Lye)- To make the liquids into soap! (No lye in finished product)

Fragrance and/or Essential Oils- To make you smell nice! (Most soap will not make you smell for a long period of time- it's not like heavily scented washes that "stick" a little more to your skin.)

Mica/Oxides/Titanium Dioxides- For color (I use synthetic mica made in labs- for ethical labor reasons, along with knowing each batch will be "the same").

Cruelty free Tussah Silk- Harvested after the silk moth has emerged, it's animal friendly! This adds a little more slip to your soap, and helps give a little bit more a luxurious feel to your bubbles.

On Organic- This soap has about 60% organic products.

On Natural- This soap has no added colorants or fragrance. I consider this to be "all natural".

So, what does that mean?
When you purchase an item from us, it will not be a duplicate of any other item since it's handmade. It may vary in color, weight, shape, or even slightly in scent from another bar of the same make.

For longer lasting soap, keep dry between uses.
 
Please remember that sense of smell differs. For example: what smells like Cedar to me, may smell more like Pine to you. (Cilantro! Soapy or tasty!?) We try our best to describe each fragrance as best and accurately as we can so that you can make an excellent choice in your products. For sanitary and health reasons, we cannot refund or exchange soap or body products, so please take your time or ask us questions! If a mistake has been made on our behalf, contact us immediately and we'll do our best to resolve the issue for you!
